Peachy Paws is a one on one, fear free dog grooming service located in East Queanbeyan, specialising in gentle, non-restrictive, force free, co-operative care and consent based grooming and training.
​Our easily accessible studio prioritises your dog's comfort. With non-slip flooring, low tables and soft lighting, it offers a calm environment away from busy areas, where your dog can feel at ease. Additionally, we provide flexible grooming appointments to accommodate your needs and ensure a stress-free experience for your dog.
Our approach is centered on the wellbeing of your dog. We will always go at their pace and work on building their confidence around being groomed, by means of positive reinforcement.

Meet & Treat
Want your dog to make positive associations with us from the start?
These sessions are super important as they give your dog the chance to meet us and for us to introduce them to the space and our tools without flooding or overwhelming them. This will help to minimise any fear, anxiety or stress during future grooms.

Desensitisation Training
Desensitisation training around dog grooming involves gradually exposing the dog to grooming tools and procedures in a controlled and positive manner, helping them become more comfortable with the process over time. This training can start with simple introductions to brushes, clippers, and bathing equipment, allowing the dog to explore these items without pressure.

Fear Free Grooming
Quite simply, a fear free groom is any wash, dry and clip that is done at your dogs pace. Their wellbeing is our main priority. Please chat to us if there is any way we can adjust this service to suit your dogs needs.
This can include a bath, blowdry, full brush out & de-shed or clip (to your desired length), a nail clip and file, ears cleaned, as well as a tidy of feet, face and hygiene areas.
(Can be done over multiple sessions)
Cooperative Care Training
Want to give your dog more choice?
Cooperative care in dog grooming emphasizes collaboration between the dog and the groomer, allowing the dog to actively participate in the grooming process at their own pace. By fostering trust and communication, cooperative care reduces stress and builds the dog’s confidence, making grooming a more pleasant experience.

In Home Grooming
By bringing our services directly to your home, dogs can remain in their familiar environment, which significantly reduces stress and fear associated with travel. This personalized service allows us to tailor the experience to your dog’s needs, ensuring they feel safe and secure while being groomed. This service is limited to pups who have trouble with alternative options.
This will include CLIPPING ONLY and the pups will need to be washed the night before (unless excessively matted).
